This 1998 Toyota Granvia Charme Pleasure Wagon is a very unique brainchild of Toyota. Built in-house by Toyota in Japan, very few of these were produced and marketed to Japanese customers and this is the first one we have ever seen. The Toyota Granvia is a more premium front engine design version of a Hiace. It offers a bit more safety than a Hiace, with dual front airbags, longer nose, and quieter ride. This one is very well optioned, powered by the 3.4 Liter v6 5VZ-FE engine and the A340F transmission, a well known drive train that powered the Tacoma, 4Runner, Tundra, T100, and more. It sports a full time all wheel drive system, similar to what would be found in an All Trac Previa – with a viscous coupler, a very robust system sending power to both front and rear wheels 50/50. It seats 5 with belts. It can sleep 3-4, featuring a fiberglass factory high top with an interior standing height of 7ft. The upper bunk is spacious with upper windows and rear storage compartments above the rear bench and mini galley. Curtains all around will pull into place, as well as a factory tint on the rear windows allows maximum for privacy. Toyota designed this to be a multi purpose vehicle to use for your family and to get out and adventure and camp. Akin to a mini sprinter van on a reliable and familiar Toyota drivetrain. The interior build out is modular and partial. It has a shore power connection, Webasto parking heater, and a sink which empties to a grey water tank, along with an auxiliary battery and 1500 watt inverter. With only 49k miles original on the clock, it’s ready for a life time of adventures.
