The Mitsubishi Pajero JR was an SUV produced between 1995-1998 for the Japanese market only. This particular example is the fully loaded ZR-II model, which features many uncommon options packed into this small SUV, such as 6 spoke alloy wheels, roof rails, keyless entry, AC, ABS, driver side airbag, power windows, one touch driver side window, premium sound system, additional instrument cluster with an altimeter, outside temp gauge, compass, and clock, electric door mirrors, a front bar with integrated fog lights, rear spoiler, and more. Not many of these were made, as production ended with the end of the year 1997. What makes the Pajero JR very unique is that it sports the same size and form factor as a KEI Car but it is not actually classified as a KEI car, because it has an 1,100 CC motor. The KEI version of the Pajero was known as the Pajero Mini, which was powered by a smaller engine and thus classified as a kei car. As such, the Junior has much better on road manners due to the properly sized engine and can be registered without the same issues that come with KEI cars. It has a very smart interior design with with bi-folding rear seats that allow for a surprising amount of storage space, given the size of the car. It can also seat 4 adults with belts. It is a proper part-time 4wd car, meaning it is rear wheel drive until you engage the 4H and 4L settings via the transfer case lever, like any other truck would be. The shorter wheel base, and size of the car make it extremely maneuverable in both on and off-road situations. This car would be an excellent daily driver, delivering 35+mpg. Cruises comfortably at highway speeds 70+ It also would make an incredible toad or tow behind for your RV, or just a fun weekend car for zipping around in, on the road, or on the trails.
