Vantech produced these highly sought-after JB500s only between 1992 and 1997, featuring a mid-cycle refresh in June 1994. As a final-model-year production unit, this is a rare opportunity to own the ultimate iteration of the JB500. The JB500 was the most expensive camper you could by from Vantech out of their entire 1997 model year camper lineup.

Having imported a few of these over the years, we can confidently say this particular example is the cleanest and most original we have ever seen. It looks, feels, and even smells like new. Don’t just take our word for it—it truly is a must-see in person.

The JB500 is one of the most capable out-of-the-box, off-road Class C campers ever to come out of the Japanese market. Built on the rugged Mitsubishi Delica L300 truck chassis, it features a full ladder/box frame and a proper part-time 4×4 system with high and low ranges. Power comes from Mitsubishi’s renowned, mechanically simple 2.5L “4D56T” Turbo Diesel engine.

The smartly designed coach seamlessly blends Japanese efficiency with German build philosophies. Despite measuring just 16.3 feet long and 9 feet tall, it maneuvers with ease and fits into standard parking spaces while offering a fully loaded interior. Inside, you’ll find seating for six, sleeping accommodations for 4 to 6, a full kitchen (fridge, stove, sink, hood range), a complete bathroom with a shower, hot water, and abundant storage throughout.
