It features some rare and sought-after options and is the epitome of an old-school, no-frills, ultra-utilitarian, and bulletproof Hiace 100-series van! With only 42,000 original miles, this van is barely broken in.

It is powered by Toyota’s ultra-reliable 2.8-liter 3L diesel engine, the same one that has proven its prowess behind the Toyota Hilux, Camroad, Hiace Trucks, and more. It’s dead-simple, fully mechanical, and a 1-wire engine—making it apocalypse-proof.

It has the medium wheelbase, LH117 chassis, which is a passenger commercial-spec chassis—a 10-seater, with belts for 9. It is finished in its original single-stage Toyota white paint, still glossy, with a red guts interior that also presents and smells very much like new.

It also features the rarely optioned rear LSD, or limited-slip differential, making this Toyota’s most capable Hiace off the shelf.

This is from the last era of these vans that still has the part-time 4WD transfer case. This means you lock the front hubs and engage 4×4 with a push button, then shift into 4-low range as needed with the transfer case lever—a proper truck 4×4 system just like in a Tacoma, 4Runner, Hilux, etc.

It has the ultra-durable vinyl interior, which is easier to wipe down and clean, and extra resistant to use and abuse.
