This 1994 LH129 Hiace is such a rare configuration. We have only seen one of these builds in the past 8 years, and it really packs a lot into the small footprint of the Hiace van. It’s powered by Toyota’s venerable 3L Diesel engine, which is the same 2.8 liter mechanically simple stout powerplant that was put in the Toyota Hilux and a number of other commercial spec Toyota vehicles across the globe. It’s mated to a 5 speed manual transmission, ensuring maximum power delivery. A proper truck style part-time 4×4 transfer case offers you Hi and Low Range gearing, and the ability to switch from 4×4 to 2×4. The coach includes sleeping for 4-5, seating for 5 with belts, and 3 more additional unbelted seats. A separate wet room for rinsing off, using the toilet, food prep, washing the dog, washing the kids, gear storage, etc you name it. Well appointed cabinetry and finishes tie together the main living space which comes complete with a dinette on the first level, and a middle row that can both face forwards, or backwards depending on your desired configuration. Two seitz / arctic tern style dometic windows flank both sides of the upper bed, complete with built in sun shades, screens, and outwards modular opening double paned acrylic allowing for a wide range of positions and offering maximum insulative values. A large upper pull out bunk can accommodate an additional 2 adults cozily up top while retaining full use of the lower living spaces. A new Dometic fridge is installed in the mid-way ventilated fridge space, and opposing counter space offer further storage above and below, as well as your main breaker switch panel and battery control switches. There are two house batteries that are conveniently charged off the engine alternator when the engine is running. They also can be charged off of the built-in inverter/converter when plugged into shore power. Several light fixtures throughout offer lighting when needed, as well as a new fantastic roof vent fan in the main space and a rear vent fan located in the wet room to exhaust air out. This van presents very much like new. It was owned by 1 owner in Japan that took fantastic care of it, the exterior has no damage, rust, dents. The interior still smells new and shows very little signs of wear.
